The Inefficient Files: When being inefficient makes life more enjoyable.

I’m not sure if there is anything better than freshly grated cheese.  Well…maybe there are a couple things, but not many.  Of course, time can be saved by pulling a bag of pre-grated cheese out of the fridge, but I would rather grab a grater and make it fresh.  The joy of freshly grated cheese was made clear to me when I started grating parmesan cheese – so much better than the stuff that comes off the shelf.  I had no idea what I was missing!

Grating my own cheese is totally worth the couple of extra minutes it takes to use and wash the grater (hint: buy one that can go in the dishwasher).  I’ll be inefficient here any day of the week.
