Keepin’ It Simple

There are lots of reasons projects don’t get done in my house. Most of the time it’s due to the two crazy boys in my home, but sometimes I can’t blame them. Sometimes it’s completely my fault. I’ll think the project will take ten, very complicated steps; in reality, it will take two simple steps to get the same result. (more…)

Just a Little Decorating

It may not technically qualify as “organizing”, but decorating is definitely part of making a house feel like home. This weekend I didn’t get much organizing done, but I did do a little bit of decorating.

We now have the pictures on the wall (not counting X-man’s artwork from school). It was a three day process between Lil’ TJ wanting attention and my mis-measurements, but I finally got pictures hung in Lil’ TJ’s room today. (more…)

An Organizer’s Move

In the over twelve months since I last posted, I had a baby (welcome Lil’ TJ!), took a break from my business, and…moved to Houston, Texas! Just a couple changes.  We have been in Houston for almost three weeks now and are working on getting the house put together.  The boxes have been unpacked (only because the moving company is coming to pick them up soon!), but now we need to find homes for everything. And soon – Lil’ TJ is about a day away from crawling around the death trap that is our home! (more…)

A Challenging Client…

I have a challenging client – she has only kept one appointment with me (and she ended that one early), she keeps scheduling future appointments but then cancels, says she’ll work on her own but doesn’t…I’m not sure she’s committed to working together.  One other problem with this client…it’s me.  As X-man says, “Uh-oh.” (more…)
