I learned a lesson about my priorities this week…
As I was scrambling to get to the New Moms Group, I looked in the mirror by the door and saw I wasn’t wearing mascara (I look like I have no eyelashes without it). Yes, X-man was about to lose it as he sat bundled-up in the car seat. Yes, I had workout clothes on, and my hair was a mess. Yes, there were peas on the floor and all over the high chair. Yes, there was a pile of clothes with poop on them in the bathroom. Even with all that, I ran upstairs and applied mascara. While I don’t need to be dolled-up every time I leave the house, I have priorities and today I learned that putting mascara on before leaving the house is one of them!

- I always try to do too big of a change.
And what if I don’t keep my resolution? It’s too easy to tell myself to wait until the next year to make a change. (more…)
