The Grades Are In…

Tuesday, May 29th, 2012

Last Friday I posted my organizing goals for Memorial Day weekend.  The Little Guy’s quickly approaching due date had increased my Incomplete Project Stress level to a point where something needed to be done.  So I decided to use the peer pressure of the internet to help me make some progress and reduce my stress a bit.  Here’s how I did: (more…)

Combating Incomplete Project Stress

Friday, May 25th, 2012

This week I have been feeling my Incomplete Project Stress level increase.  The “started, but not quite finished” projects to do before the Little Guy comes seem to be growing and are starting to get to me (or as I told J, “I might freak out soon.”).  Time really is running out.  This was made clear when a friend had her little boy four weeks early and another friend said to me several times, “You know the baby could come any day right? What a Kitchen Upgrade Can Teach an Organizer

Friday, May 11th, 2012

We are in the middle of a small kitchen upgrade – just new cabinets and countertops.  As we were emptying the cabinets the day before installation, I was trying to use all my organizational skills when putting the items into our living room: keep like items together, find the best storage location, use the best containers to store items.  Unfortunately, I wasn’t making much progress, and it was getting late. (more…)
